Nick I want to say he's the only Shining Force hero to show up in more than one game, but in reality, he's not, but this one's a prince of a neighboring country. Really, that's all I know of him. |
Mayfair She's a healer, and she resembles Khris, Alef, Grace, and all the other elf-types that resemble foxes. |
Yeesha I think she's a healer like Mayfair, but she's human rather than a variety of elf. |
Domingo Would you believe a non main character getting to show up in more than one Shining Force? Well, do anyway, because I'm pretty sure this is the super-smart/Pokemon critter from the first Shining Force. |
Wendy She's supposed to be Tao's sister, but if the story in Return of the Dark Dragon is right, what happened to her? |
Amigo It's another domingo, only I think this one is supposed to be female, while Domingo is male. I'm guessing that both are still pretty good ice mages. |

Ian He finds himself leading the Shining Force on a second (or third if you count the Ancents' attempt as one) try to put Dark Dragon out of everyone's misery. He is also chasing after the original Shining Force leader, who is on the same mission, just unencumbered by allies. Not to mention that he's (unknown by both of them) the nephew of said Shining Force leader. |
Sonette I can never tell if she's an elven or a human archer. It'd be kind of neat to see a non-elven archer in the series, but she's still okay as an elf. |
Cynthia Other than her being a healer, I don't know much about this girl. |
Minto Another fox-type elf, like Alef, she's a mage. She's also got a slightly different coloring than the other furry types, being a gold tone rather than red, with black strips on her cheeks. |
Odd Eye I'm still a little fuzzy on why he'd join the Shining Force when he's one of the devils. But he's as blind as he is in Shining Force 2. |
Max Oh, look, the other Shining Force leader who makes a second game's appearance. He has the ironic distinction of chasing down the people trying to bring back Dark Dragon, only to wind up with a mask much like his brothers, to fight his nephew like his brother fought him. He even loses to his nephew, but the big difference is that he doesn't go and get himself killed protecting his nephew, like his brother did. |

Deanna Amnesia strikes again, as does washing up on the shores of kingdoms. This young man fights alongside the Shining Force, working with Prince/King Nick, from a previous game. |
Natasha She's a healer, and she helps Deanna recover from whatever wounds gave him amnesia. |
Dawn A centaur, but I'm not sure if Dawn is a he or a she, and with a male leader named 'Deanna,' I don't really want to try. |
May As if it's not funny enough to have amnesia, washing ashore, recurring characters, and elf-foxes in every game, there are also name variations in every game, and here's the most popular example. May, Mae, does it matter? I think this one's a mage. |
Sara There are a couple of Sara/hs in the series, and this one is a healer, like the others were. |
Nick The Prince from one game now has a stone hand and I think he's a king in this version. He works with Deanna, joining late in the game, but only adding to the strength of the Shining Force (one handed or not). |
