| Hwang While he's still present in Soul Caliber, he disappears in Soul Caliber 2. I haven't played SC 3, but I doubt he's a returning character there. Which is sad in my view, because I liked his sword style better than Xianghua's even though in this game, they're idential styles. |
Siegfried The unlucky soul who got the sword, he's mostly known as Nightmare in this version. But after beating the game with Nightmare, you learn why Siegfried shows up as himself too. He's given insight as to how badly the sword fooled him and has enough willpower to break free. Pity in SC 2 it doesn't mean much, as he's been absorbed again. |
Seung Mi Na She goes off after the sword of destiny, just like Hwang, but keeps getting caught by Hwang and dragged back home. So she just runs away again. |
| Kilik The influence of the evil sword caused everyone in the temple he was raised in to go mad. Including him, and he must have been among the most dangerous, because he's the lone survivor. His quest is to purge himself of the evil of the sword, and to destroy the sword itself. |
Xianghua She has the counterpart of the sword everyone wants or wants to destroy, and her quest is like Kilik's, she wants the evil blade destroyed. |
Taki Having forged a fragment of the blade to her own cursed one, Taki is out to destroy both blades with each other. Or to master them both using each other. |
| Ivy After her adopted parents die, she learns who her birth father is, and what he was. Her goal seems to be to recover the blade he lost, maybe to get closer to her father, Cervantes. |
Talim A priestess of the wind, she goes on a mission to destroy the blade, because it is evil. Her quest starts in Soul Caliber 2. |
Yunsung In Soul Caliber 2 he's out to prove himself a better fighter than Hwang, so he's going to get the sword of destiny before his rival does. After MiNa gives him a family heirloom, he dashes out of the school grounds to search for the blade. |
