Fire Emblem:

WARNING!!!! Spoilerifics all over the page. Plus, I'm only providing info on characters I like!

Lyn
She's lived on the plains all her life. When her family is killed by bandits, she finds herself wondering about the rest of her family, as her mother had been estranged from her father since marrying. She saves a strategist from other bandits and from there, learns of that other half of her family.
Kent
Of the two knights sent by Lyn's grandfather, he's the more serious of the two. He spends as much time keeping Sain out of trouble as he does guarding the princess Lyn.
Sain
You'd think flirting was one of the food groups to this one. He hasn't met a girl he hasn't flirted with. He even tries to flirt with the strategist if you pick female.
Eliwood
He's prince to a country neighboring Lyn's grandfather's, and when he finds that she's being stalked by bandits, he helps her get home. Later, you get to help him fight, alongside Lyn and Hector, against the mad sage trying to call dragons into this dimension.
Florina
A pegasus knight almost fully trained, she decides that Lyn will be the lord she follows. She's rather shy of men, hence Sain scares her, and she's terrified of archers (flying horse is vulnerable to them), thus she's nervous around Will too.
Wil
He's an archer who joins the battle because you save a village he was staying in. He's a nice guy, even though Florina's scared of him being able to shoot arrows.
Guy
He's a myrmidon for hire, until you talk to him with Matthew. Apparently Matthew saved his life, so now he owes him. Of course, Matthew gets a kick out of picking on him.
Matthew
A thief, who's really ornery, he teases nearly everyone, and picks on Guy like you wouldn't believe. But he's a great fighter, for a thief, so it's not so bad.
Rebecca
A female archer who is almost as flirty as Sain, she even tries hitting on Raven, who doesn't even register it.
Raven
His original name is Raymond, but he adopted Raven when his family was murdered. He became a mercenary at least in part to get revenge. Of course, it's Hector's family he wants revenge on, so things get interesting for a bit.
Canas
A shaman, he studies dark magic, but he's a nice guy, and he insists that dark is not the same as evil.
Geitz
An axe wielder, Geitz joins if you have a pirate talk to him, but I can't remember much about him beyond that.
Pent
A sage who's so darn strong, most enemies who bother him get killed instead by his spells.
Erk
The apprentice to Pent, Erk is a fairly quiet person, dragged into Serra's presence because she's a noblewoman who happens to be a healer and she wants an escort.
Rath
In the employ of someone with no respect for plainsfolk, he decides that working with people who do respect him is better.
Heath
A wyvern rider you can talk into helping you, his weaknesses are like Florina's, just not as pronounced, because he's a more experienced unit.
Jaffar
This guy makes an ice block seem warm. But for some strange reason he actually cares about Nino being killed by her own mother, and refuses to work for the woman anymore, meaning he's on your side now, and you get to use his high critical rate to your advantage for once.
Louise
She's Pent's wife, but the formal way they treat each other makes you find it hard to believe. Or at least it made it difficult for me. Oh well, maybe it's just their thing to 'My Lord' and 'My Lady' each other.
Lloyd & Linus
The sons of a mercenary group, they remember when their father was truly in charge of things. Then he remarried, and their stepmother, Sonya, is a real Cinderella-esque wicked stepmother. But their loyalty to their father makes them stick with it, even though it kills them.
